Discovery Machine Observes Naval Training Event
As part of research with NAVAIR TSD and ONR, Discovery Machine was invited to participate in a training event hosted by the Navy. In order to best understand the complete training situation, members of Discovery Machine observed multiple locations during the event. In this way Discovery Machine had the opportunity to observe both the trainer and the trainee and thus see the entire training spectrum.
Discovery Machine is developing next generation knowledge capture tools to reduce costs and keep training up to date. By applying their approach to documenting business intelligence and human thought, Discovery Machine will be able to create a realistic training simulation. With Discovery Machine’s software, the Navy will be able to reduce the time required to gather experiences of soldiers in the field and incorporate them into training curriculum more quickly.
By leveraging past project success with the department of defense and incorporating newly observed information, Discovery Machine will be equipped with the information to improve existing training simulations. These improvements will enhance the training experience and provide the most realistic training opportunity possible for all trainees. The benefits of this project are twofold, as it will both increase the quality of training and decrease budgetary spending by the Navy.
