Five New Hires at Discovery Machine, Inc.
Discovery Machine, Inc. has recently expanded its operations in order to meet new demands for its knowledge capture services. As part of the expansion, five new employees were added to the Discovery Machine team. “We are glad that Discovery Machine is able to expand and look forward to future expansion as we continue to grow,” says Anna Griffith, CEO and co-founder of Discovery Machine.
This expansion is possible in large part due to the efforts of Congressmen Chris Carney of Pennsylvania’s 10th District. Thanks to his efforts, Discovery Machine was able to procure a 1.2 million dollar contract with the Navy. In order to carry out the new contract it became essential for Discovery Machine to expand. “With these expansions Discovery Machine will be able to transition its existing technology capabilities to better fit the needs of the Navy,” says Todd Griffith, President and co-founder of Discovery Machine.
To assist in this endeavor, Discovery Machine has hired three new software engineers and two new knowledge coordinators. The new software engineers are all recent college graduates with computer science degrees from Bloomsburg University, Temple University, and Bucknell University respectively. The Knowledge Coordinators bring different skill sets to Discovery Machine. One is a recent graduate of Lycoming College with a marketing degree and the other comes to Discovery Machine with over twenty years of experience in the life science and defense contracting industry. With the different viewpoints of these new hires and existing employees, Discovery Machine will be well equipped to meet current demands and to expand into new business arenas in the future.
