What is a DM Class?
The Knowledge Service Modeler also enables users to specify a second type of knowledge structure, a semantic network-like structure called a Discovery Machine Class (See figure below).

The Knowledge Service Modeler allows users to build DM Class networks to represent a wide variety of static knowledge or artifacts, and it provides easy modification of those structures. DM Class networks support both static semantic objects and also labeled links connecting those objects. In addition, the DM interface allows users to link specific graphic images to each type of object and relationship. This enables rapid visual understanding of the network. These semantic object models can have associated behaviors, also represented as hierarchies. The behaviors can be inherited from one or more superclasses, adding a fully object-oriented capability to the Knowledge Service Modeler.
Discovery Machine software is compliant with the requirements of section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended by the Workforce Investment Act of 1998.
