How We Work
Through a number of years working with a broad range of experts—military commanders, nautical and aerospace engineers, geneticists and more—the Discovery Machine team has developed a proven knowledge capture process that saves time and costs while delivering superior, and often amazing, results.
A typical engagement begins with an analysis of your objectives, needs and requirements. This includes exploring and understanding the processes your organization uses to analyze knowledge as well as assessing your knowledge bases and database systems.
In the next phase, we work with your experts to capture their strategies in handling complex problems. Because typically, people are better at critiquing than creating, our next step is to critique and formalize those strategies.
Once the problem-solving strategies and your unique domain (field of knowledge) vocabulary are represented, we then enable your strategies to run. Once those strategies have been encoded, a task hierarchy determines new and more effective alternative strategies.
