Discovery Machine™ Inc. announces Beta release of its Gear Plugin for EclipseWilliamsport, PA, 4 August, 2006—Discovery Machine Inc. (DMI) has announced the BETA version availability of its plug-in for Eclipse which aids software developers in calling a DMI Gear from Java code. The plug-in launches a wizard within Eclipse that will gather required information about the Gear. It will then automatically generate and insert the required source code into a Java editor to call and execute that Gear. A Gear is a standalone application or automated process model developed using DMI’S E3W platform. It provides a solution for what was previously a difficult task – integrating advanced subject matter expertise, human behavior, and automated process models into custom business applications. “This is a significant event for all Discovery Machine clients, the Eclipse developer community, and any organization using the Eclipse framework” said DMI’s CEO Howard Lewis. “It means any Discovery Machine Gear can now be leveraged from, or embedded into, any application developed on the Eclipse open source framework. This provides a critical open source integration solution between Eclipse-based applications and DMI E3W process models and applications”.
