Imagine embedding the best practices of key experts into deployed command and control systems and products.  Not only could you reduce human error by replicating these practices throughout the military, you could also enable those same experts to focus on bigger issues.   The minutia of dealing with the same issues over and over can be eliminated.   By embedding this expertise in training systems and job aids the expert can effectively disseminate strategic knowledge to larger groups which includes our international partners.

Discovery Machine’s Application Programmer’s Interface (API) provides the enterprise with an easy way to embed expertise within their applications.   Once a knowledge service model is operationalized it can be compiled into a knowledge service gear at the click of a button.   Because the gear is a serialized Java object, it can be run on any platform.   Gears can also be run from the desktop, deployed as applets or hosted as web applications.   Knowledge service gears have been effectively embedded in Java, C#, .Net, C and C++ applications.    This capability makes embedding best practices in existing and future applications easy.

The architecture is simple and flexible.   Discovery Machine’s knowledge service engine is installed as a layer on top of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) also referred to as the Java Runtime Environment (JRE).    The knowledge service engine can be included as part of a software as a service (SaaS) application or installed throughout the enterprise.
